I wanted to write action-filled contemporary romance stories about women in their 50s and 60s who experience adventures and misadventures. They learn life should be lived to the fullest no matter what your age, to take advantage of unexpected opportunities and view them as gifts, even if they seem scary from the outset. And finally, to understand they have the right and the capability to live full happy lives no matter what their overall circumstances.

Too often it seems to me woman's friendships are denigrated or minimized in modern fiction. They're almost like place holders which can be easily discarded whenever a romantic possibility presents itself. They are virtually nonexistent in today's modern women's fiction. I wanted to write a novel that women like me, (in my 60s) could enjoy and identify with.
